Grown for their decorative leaves. They thrive in high-humidity areas like bathrooms and kitchens. Calathea prefer medium to bright, indirect light as direct sun will burn the leaves.  These plants are great at creating healthier indoor spaces by helping to filter out the toxins in the air around them.
